Novus Delta Overview
The Novus Rider is a 100% UK legal, GPS speed camera detector, which includes free lifetime speed camera database subscription. The Novus Rider replaced the award winning Talex Lite Speed Camera. The devise uses a spoken voice alert system, warning the user of any UK speed camera locations. The product comes pre-loaded with a comprehensive speed camera database, so is ready to use right out of the box.

The Novus Rider provides warnings of the following type of camera:

By making clear spoken voice announcements the Novus Rider will warn you to reduce your speed if you are about to approach any type of speed camera site above the speed limit.

The Novus Rider GPS speed camera alert system also displays a unique series of LED's which countdown as a diver gets closer to a speed camera location.

On approach to a speed camera location Novus Rider will initially sound a chime followed by a voice announcement stating 'Warning speed camera 500 yards ahead. limit 30mph'. This will normally happen 500yards from the position of the speed camera. A second chime will be made at 200yards from the speed camera site. If the vehicle is still over the speed limit, the Novus Rider will make a continuous warning: 'Warning - reduce speed' until the vehicle speed drops to the speed limit, or the speed camera position has been passed.

The Novus Rider is powered by an internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery. This provides up to 5 hours operation in normal mode and up to 8 hours of operation in low power mode. The Novus Rider internal battery can then be charged either by a PC/laptop using the USB cable or the in car power lead. Both of these cables are supplied as standard with the Novus Rider. In car battery recharging time typically takes 70 minutes and by PC USB cable approximately 140 minutes.

Novus Rider Installation
The Novus Rider is extremely easy to install taking only a couple of seconds to install and remove from your vehicles dash board. The unit is installed on your dashboard via the supplied magnetic mount. The Novus Rider uses an internal battery so does not need to be plugged in in order to work. The devise will need charging up however.

The Novus Rider Subscription
Novus Rider is preloaded with a comprehensive speed camera database. To update your Novus Rider completely free and stay on top of potential new camera spots around the UK, you will need to visit the NovusGPS site regulary for any updates. Your will require a PC with USB port and Internet access to be able to do this.
